Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how users can delete their accounts and personal data for ParentChecked (ParentChecked.com), a brand name of Hastings Webworks LTD.

Important: All active subscriptions must be cancelled before you can delete your account. See “Cancel subscriptions” below.

How to delete your account

  1. Sign in at parentchecked.com/login.
  2. Open Dashboard → Settings → Profile.
  3. Click Delete Account.
  4. In the popup, scroll down and click Continue To Delete.
  5. Confirm by entering your email address and password.
  6. Tick the confirmation checkbox, then scroll down and click Delete My Account.
  7. Your account and data will be deleted immediately after confirmation.

Cancel subscriptions (required first)

  • Purchases via Google Play: Open Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ParentChecked → Cancel.
  • Purchases via Apple App Store: Open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → ParentChecked → Cancel.
  • Purchases via the ParentChecked website: From Dashboard → Settings → Billing, use the billing portal link to manage/cancel your plan.

After cancellation is confirmed, return to Settings → Profile to delete your account.

What gets deleted

  • Account profile (name, email, phone)
  • Children profiles (names, birthdates, Roblox usernames)
  • Monitoring data (friend safety checks, alerts, notifications, activity snapshots)
  • Dashboard statistics and preferences
  • Authentication tokens and active sessions
  • Support tickets linked to your account

What may be retained and for how long

  • Payment/transaction records: Retained as required by law for accounting/tax (typically up to 7 years). These do not include monitoring content.
  • Security/audit logs: Minimal logs may persist up to 30 days for abuse prevention and platform security.
  • Backups: Encrypted backups are rotated; deleted data may appear in automated backups for up to 30 days until rotation completes.
  • Aggregated/anonymized analytics: May be retained without personal identifiers for service improvements.

Processing timelines

  • Account/data deletion: Immediate upon confirmation.
  • Session/token invalidation: Immediate.
  • Cache purge: Within 24 hours.
  • Backup rotation: Up to 30 days.
